Aida Romina Gómez Villarello z Mexika ohromila módní ikonu svým osobitým stylem a stane se tak Lagerfeldovou asistentkou při tvorbě zítřejšího speciálního vydání deníku Metro. Aidin "look" zaujal mezi tisíci soutěžními příspěvky a po vítězství v lokálním kole nakonec obstál i v tvrdé konkurenci třech nejlepších profilů. Devatenáctiletá studentka z města Guadalajara tak získá možnost podívat se do Paříže a podílet se na speciálním vydání Metra, které ponese název "Svět podle Karla Lagerfelda", a které si můžete přečíst již zítra 7. února 2012!
How would you describe your style?
I likemixing up different styles—it depends on what mood I’min that day. I’m generally very dramatic. I love anything bright, vintage and retro, butmostly I try to look very feminine. I wear a lot of dresses as I think they are themost flattering on me.
What do you lovemost about Karl?
I think he is a genius! Everything that he does is art, whether when it’s when he is designing clothes, taking photographs or writing.
When I found out, I was in shock!
It was a normal morning for Romina Gómez, a young girl from Guadalajara who just today is starting her studies in fashion design. She was relaxed watching TV, until her BlackBerry rang. “I saw I had just received an email. I opened it and it said that I had won the contest to become Karl Lagerfeld’s assistant for the Publimetro special edition. To be honest I was in shock, I couldn’t believe it! I told my sister and started to laugh. I was walking around the house like a zombie,” Romina told us, who will meet The Kaiser next February 6 in Paris.
What motivated you to participate in the contest?
My older sister told me about the contest. When I looked at it and realized that it was to be with Karl Lagerfeld I told myself: "It’s worth it!" I thought it would be very difficult for me to win due to the fact that there were many countries participating. But thank God I ended up in first place.
What will you say to Karl?
I’ve known about him since I was a small kid, since Claudia Schiffer was a top model! I’ve always had interest in the fashion world and he is a very iconic person in this world. I think that he is a very intimidating person, but I admire his work very much. I love everything he does! He is my favorite designer and I would like to work for him in the future. That is why I would like to tell him … Thank you for the opportunity, now can you hire me? (laughter)
